These are natural Arkansas sharpening stones found only around Hot Springs, Arkansas. The stone is novaculite and is the finest natural abrasive stone available. It has superior sharpening characteristics that will actually polish the edge as it sharpens.
The combination sets like this one are generally expensive because of the extra work involved in putting them together.
If you are unhappy with any whetstone you receive, return the stone to me and when I receive it back, I will refund your money in full.
This stone is a 2nd grade stone that may have minor defects such as small cracks,chips,color issues,sandpits, etc. that should not affect the use of the stone.
